A Dormeo single mattress follows UK standard mattress sizing, at 90cm wide by 190cm long, 75 x 36 inches, or 3ft by 6ft.
In terms of our single mattress heights, they range between 14cm to 30cm due to the differences in depth and firmness afforded by our different ranges. For example, our Memory Classic Memory Foam single mattress is just 14cm to support better cushioning on pressure points, without being too plush. At the other end of the range, our Octaspring 9500 single mattress is plusher and bouncier, to fit a variety of sleeping styles.
That means that whatever your requirements, you can be sure that Dormeo will have a single mattress that fits your sleep needs, no matter how complex they might be.

What size is a standard single mattress?
Standard single mattresses are 90cm wide by 190cm long. (Or 3’ x 6’x), making them ideal for children or solo sleepers. Small enough to save on space, but large enough to fully relax, single-size mattresses are perfect if you’re furnishing a compact space.
Are all single mattresses the same size?

Can I put two single mattresses on a double or king-size bed?
We wouldn’t recommend it - two single mattresses don’t equate to a double or double or king-size beds. If you’re planning to put single mattresses together, we recommend that you also buy two bed frames.
Which single mattress is right for me?
It entirely depends on the type of support you need, and how you sleep.
For example, side sleepers usually sleep better on a soft single mattress, whereas back and front sleepers typically enjoy more shut eye on something firmer.

Is there a best thickness for a single mattress?
Our single mattresses range in thickness from 14cm to 30cm depending on what style and type you prefer. Ultimately, it’s up to you to find what is most comfortable!
However, we’d recommend a thinner mattress for younger sleepers, or those of a lighter body weight, whereas thicker and firmer mattresses will better suit heavier build individuals.
What single mattress is best for back pain?
Every individual is different, so we would recommend testing our mattresses before purchasing to ensure it is right for you. As a general rule, people who have back pain, or suffer from joint and muscular pain will find that a firmer mattress helps with securing spinal alignment and propping up pressure points.
Consequently, we’d recommend looking at a medium/firm or firm mattress to help with supporting your body.
What warranty do I get on a single mattress?
We have an expert quality control team to help maintain standards across Dormeo. As part of your purchase, your product will have a warranty of up to 20 years, depending on which type of mattress you buy.

How often do I need to rotate my single mattress?
You should rotate your mattress once a week during the first 4 weeks of use. Afterwards, for optimum mattress care, we recommend you rotate your single mattress once every 4 weeks.
You should rotate head to toe, and vice-versa.
Can I sleep on my single mattress straight away?
All Dormeo singles mattresses will start to expand within 15 minutes of removing all packaging. Full expansion can take between 6 to 8 hours. After this, you can sleep on your single mattress.
However, if possible, we advise that you wait 24 hours for an optimal sleeping experience.
I have a European single bedframe. Will a Dormeo single mattress fit?
No, our mattresses will be too small. For our products to fit properly, you’ll need to purchase a UK single size bedframe.
Can my child sleep on a single mattress?
Yes, single beds are a great option for children, especially if they have smaller bedrooms. They are space-saving and compact, but still great for outstanding comfort. We offer a range of types of single mattresses, so your child can get the best style to suit their sleeping needs.
